The Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents (“ASSG” visas) is for people who are the second generation of emigrated Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents (age between 18 to 40 years old) from overseas to return to work in Hong Kong. The applicants must have a Bachelor Degree, and at least one parent who is a holder of a valid permanent Hong Kong identity card.

The scheme is tailored for those second generation who have lost their Chinese nationality because either one of their parents had already settled overseas (i.e. already obtained a third country permanent resident status or already became a citizen) at the time of their birth.
